New World finally starts with the merger of the servers

New World hat announced the first merger of servers. This adaptation is eagerly awaited by many players to finally get away from empty servers. Which servers make it exactly when the merger takes place and how exactly it takes place, we reveal you in this article.

Which servers are merged? The European Server Mari will be transferred to the Server Brittney. Since 4 December you can no longer transfer to one of these two servers.

The merger will take place on December 8 at 16:00 in German.

How exactly is such a server merger? The small server X (in this case MARI) is integrated into the larger server Y (Brittney). All progress such as levels, gold, items, fractions or the companies remain insisting.

However, the world remains in the version that is currently available on Server Y (Brittney). This applies approximately to the state of events, expansion of settlements and possession of the different territories.

Which worlds will be merged in the future? There are no information that worlds will be merged in the future. However, the developers have betrayed, according to which criteria such a merge takes place:

To determine if a world is unhealthy, we look at some things, including the population size and overall activity. As soon as we have found that a world needs to be fused, we compare you with the existing worlds in the world set to find the optimal partner world by comparing elements such as faction, game style and language. By merging within a set, this means that a US west world can never be merged with a US East world, but a US-West world could be merged with another US West world.

In the FAQ, it also states that future server compositions are always planned for Wednesday to avoid any maintenance with the patch. This means that the content updates will appear in the future Thursdays, such as the upcoming patch 1.2:

Why are the merges so important? New World has lost sharply to player numbers. However, the developers have opened directly to the start dozens of new servers. This now leads that in some worlds hardly players are on the road.

But too few players lead to problems, such as fighting territories. Therefore, many players hope that their empty servers will be integrated into larger servers before Christmas, then at least about the holidays to play properly.

However, there is a concern that players, but also share the Twitch Streamer Shroud. Because players from smaller servers could mix the economy on the new server properly. They retain all existing items and on smaller servers should be easier to hoard thousands of items.
