Doom Eternal: Update brings more accessibility

In order to improve accessibility and increase accessibility, the EGO-Shooter Doom Eternal were provided with new functions. The first start of the game after the update will point out the innovation, including text-to-language (and vice versa) and a contrast filter.

Notification pop-up menu regarding barrier-free settings

After the installation of Update 6.66 Rev. 2, a pop-up menu with regard to accessibility settings appears. Read the available options and check whether the settings meet your wishes. In the game you can access these settings via the accessibility, audio and video menus.

Text-to-language (chat)

This option converted text, which is entered in Battle mode 2.0 chat windows, based on the language profile chosen by the user.

  • There are several language profiles available. You can change the profiles in the selection and listen to you before you choose one.
  • The outgoing text message appears yellow in the chat window when it has been converted to language.
  • Text converted to language is issued in the language in which it was written.
  • Converted text chat messages can only hear the demon colleagues in Matches in Battle mode 2.0-lobbies.

Language-to-text (chat)

This option activates the transcription incoming language chat in Battle mode 2.0 chat windows.

  • Incoming language-to-text messages appear yellow in the chat window of the Battle mode 2.0 lobby and are only visible in matches for demon colleagues.
  • If the chat translation is not activated, language-to-text-chat messages appear in the original language.

Text-to-language (detailed)

Activates a simulated voice that reads the incoming text messages from other players.

Text-to-language (starting)

Activates a simulated voice that reads the outgoing text chat of the player to the other players.

Chat translation

If this option is activated, incoming text chat messages are translated into the language to which the reception player's system is placed. This works with incoming ordinary and language-to-text-chat messages.

Contrast filter

This option reduces the pace at which screen brightness can change in the game. If it is activated, it can be fine -tuned by the following controllers:

  • Brightness speed (per pixel): limits the pace at which the brightness for each pixel can change with explosions and intensive combat sequences.
  • Brightness speed (overall picture): limited the pace at which the average brightness can change on the entire screen.

Contrast improvements of the user interface

Some menu elements of the user interface have been changed to increase readability.

Gameplay General

The turning-out animation of the fighter shotgun automatic mode can now be interrupted by a melee command.

Campaign

  • If you die in the fight against a Marauder, a tutorial pop-up with combat tips (this only happens once per score) will appear.
  • The speed of movement of the Cacodemon was lowered at the difficulty levels "zu Jung to die" and "_los, give it me".

Horde mode

-A notification effect has been added to the Horde-Point Hud element that informs when a new medal has been reached _ (see above) _.

  • An option has been added with which the HUD can be hidden in horde mode _ (see/from below) _.
  • The duration of the end-round sequence was shortened.

Balancing changes for alle platforms

Slayer

When using the flame dator against a player demon, the preserved amount of armor from 30 was reduced to 10 *.

Revenant

The coincide time of the DASH was shortened from 250 ms to 50 ms *. * The recharging of the jet pack is now being used after the use of rocket lockfire.

Archvile

The Feuersee radius was increased by 30 %. The Fire lake damage was increased from 6 to 10 per unit of time. The Fire lake duration was reduced from 5 to 2 seconds . * The vertical expansion of Feuersee was increased slightly. The fireball damage to the fire professional improvement was increased from 27 to 32 .

Chat-widget

We have updated the online chat window, so that it can now be reached from the HUD during a Battle mode 2.0 match. Before that, it was necessary to pause the game to access the chat window in a match.

  • An error was remedied through which the Horde-round progress card white appeared when played with selected demon UI color profile.
  • An error was remedied through which, after completing the complete Horde mode, _ "10,000 points" _ instead of _ "difficulty bonus" _ was displayed.

Master Level

Doom Eternal

  • An error was remedied through which the sphere and melting pots were incorrectly removed from the Marskern Master level in classic mode.
  • An error was remedied through which the fighter-shot-fully automatic mode mode could not be used if its recovery animation was interrupted when the plasma defense is equipped in the Marskern Master level.

The Ancient Gods, Part Two

  • A mistake was remedied through which the leaving of the upper hut at the village entrance after killing the marauder in the world spear master level led to the fact that non-functional demon goals remained and the opponents were held on the way to the cathedral from spawns.
